District Neighbors Lost to Violence Mar 10 – Mar 16, 2016

Updated 4 p.m. March 17, with shooting on March 16.

The District of Columbia residents lost the following individuals through violence this week:

  • March 11, 2016 — 1000 Block of 44th Street, NE (shooting)
    22-year-old James Stewart, of Northeast
  • March 16, 2016 — 3400 Block of Benning Road, NE (shooting)
    29-year-old Darnell Lee Richardson of Cheverly, MD.

We are still in the 30-day mourning period for the following individuals lost to violence in the District:

  • February 18 — 500 block of 58th Street, NE (double shooting, 1)
    51-year-old Clifton David Francis, of Northeast

    45-year-old David Aumon Watkins, Jr., of Northeast
  • February 19 — 1800 block of Benning Road, NE (shooting)
    21-year-old Dante Kinard, of Northeast
  • February 19 — 900 block of Eastern Avenue, NE (shooting)
    23-year-old Michael Donell Adams, of no fixed address.
  • February 22 — 4500 block of Quarles Street, NE (shooting)
    21-year-old Deandre A. Sibblies, of Northeast
  • February 24 — 3100 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE (shooting)
    22-year-old Demetrius Christopher Medlay, of Southeast
  • March 1 — 2700 Block of Langston Place, SE (2/29 shooting)
    21-year-old Adam Edwin Barker of Southwest
  • March 1 — 4200 block of 6th Street, SE (shooting)
    25-year-old Rudolph Garris, of Suitland, M.D.
  • March 4 — 3300 block of 23rd Street, SE (shooting)
    26-year-old Noel Rezene, of Northwest
  • March 6 — 2800 block of Alabama Avenue, SE (shooting)
    39-year-old Ms. Ivy Tonett Smith, of Northeast
