The District lost the following individual(s) to homicide this past week:

    37-year-old Timothy Lassiter, of Northeast

We are still in the 30-day mourning period for the following individuals lost to violence in the District:

  • September 6 — 2500 block of Elvans Road, SE (shooting)
    35-year-old Joe Cook, of Southeast
  • September 8 — 4000 block of 3rd Street, SE (shooting)
    29-year-old Evan Williams, of Upper Marlboro, MD.
  • September 11 — 300 block of M Street, NW (officer-involved shooting)
    31-year-old Terrence Sterling, of Fort Washington, MD
  • September 13 — 700 block of 16th Street, NE (shooting)
    18-year-old Tesean Jermaine Ashe, of Southeast
  • September 13 — 4600 block of Livingston Road, SE (shooting)
    19-year-old Deon Calvin Smith, of Oxon Hill, MD.
  • September 15 — 600 block of Mellon Street, SE (shooting)
    35-year-old Darnell Peoples of District Heights, MD.
  • September 17 — 5200 block of Just Street, NE (shooting)
    28-year-old Doran Melvin Woodson of Northeast
  • September 17 — 2600 block of Birney Place, SE (shooting)
    31-year-old Scorpio-Rodney Alonzo Phillips of Southeast
  • September 17 — 2600 block of Birney Place, SE (shooting)
    18-year-old Zoruan Otto Harris of Southeast
  • September 18 — 2300 block of 11th Street, NW (shooting)
    23-year-old Eric Garrett, of Northwest
  • September 25 — 400 block of Riggs Road, NE (shooting)
    22-year-old Marcellus Thomas of Northeast.
  • September 29 — 900 block of 10th Street, NE (shooting)
    39-year-old Eugene Clarke of Temple Hills, MD.
