District Neighbors Lost to Violence Nov 17-Nov 22, 2016

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, this notice is going out earlier in the week than usual. As of late on 11/22, there were NO homicides or police-involved killings in the District, 11/17-11/22.

We are still in the 30-day mourning period for the following individuals lost to violence in the District:

    17-year-old Kaelia Minor, of Northwest
  • October 23 — 1900 Block of 19th Place SE (shooting)
    56-year old Hamza McCrae, of Southeast
  • October 31 — 1600 Block of Savannah Street SE (Shooting)
    27-year-old Kevin L. Jenkins of Southeast.
  • November 8 — 2600 block of Pomeroy Road, SE (Stabbing)
    40-year-old Antina Cindette Pratt, of Southeast
  • October 26 — 3700 block of Jay Street, NE (strangulation)
    59-year-old Ummi Najma Al-Thaqib, AKA Ummi Al Thaqib, of Southeast
    (homicide announced 11/9)
  • November 10 — 3600 block of Grant Place, NE (shooting)
    25-year-old Delano Deonte Jackson, of Northeast
  • November 11 — 3000 block of Stanton Road, SE (shooting)
    25-year-old Samuelle Buie of Southeast
  • November 11 — 3000 block of Stanton Road, SE (shooting)
    19-year-old Rassaan Jennings of Southeast
  • November 13 — 1300 block of K Street, SE (stabbing)
    40-year-old David Nathaniel Thomas, of Southeast.
  • November 15 –4300 Block of 3rd Street SE (shooting)
    23-year-old Willie Washington, of Southeast
