District Neighbors Lost to Violence Dec 29, 2016 – Jan 5, 2017

The following individuals were lost to violence in the District this week:

  • December 16/July 23 — 2700 block of New York Ave NE (trauma)
    one-month-old Christopher Antonio Conley, Jr., of Northeast
    (child injured on 7/9, died on 7/23;
    homicide determined 12/16, announced 12/28)
  • December 31 — 4600 block of East Capitol Street NE (stabbing)
    25-year-old Antoinios Deangelo Butler, of Southeast

We are still in the 30-day mourning period for the following individuals lost to violence in the District:

  • December 1 — 1800 block of Capitol Avenue, NE (shooting)
    45-year-old Timothy Pretlowof Southeast
  • December 6 — 1500 block of Olive Street, NE (shooting)
    45-year-old Terry Crutchfield of Southeast
  • December 9 — 600 block of Nicholson Street, NE (shooting)
    26-year-old Victor Bolden of Northeast
  • December 11 — 6900 block 32nd Street, NW (shooting)
    21-year-old Grant Copeland Dosunmu of Northwest
  • Dec 23 — 2200 block of Mount View Place, SE (shooting)
    29-year-old Damien Keith Thomas of Northeast.
  • Dec 24 — former Peaceoholics organizer, SE (old shooting)
    28-year-old Maurice Benton of Southeast,
    died of complications due to shooting ten years ago
  • Dec 25 — 3200 block of Walnut Street, NE (officer-involved shooting)
    29-year-old Gerald Hall of Northeast.
  • Dec 26 — 200 Block of Cedar Street, NW (shooting)
    37-year-old James Dorsey Jr., of no fixed address.
  • Dec 26 — 2200 block of M Street, NW (strangulation, trauma)
    46-year-old Tricia McCauley of Northwest
  • Dec 27 — 800 block of Xenia Street, SE (shooting)
    22-year-old Herbert Dowtin, of Southeast.
