The District of Columbia lost the following individuals to violence in recent days:

• October 26 — 1700 block of R Street, SE (shooting)
  28-year-old Johnathan Mayrant, of Southeast
• October 26 — 4200 block of East Capitol Street, NE (shooting)
  22-year-old Aaron George, of Northeast

We are still in the 30-day mourning period for the following individuals lost to violence in the District:

• September 28 — 2800 block of Jasper Street, SE (stabbing)
  52-year-old Anthony Hardy, of Southeast
• September 29 — 600 block of S Street, NW (shooting)
  19-year-old Tahlil Byrd, of Southeast
• August 17 — 3700 block of Horner Place, SE (multiple injuries)
  24-year-old Marquita Lucas, of Northwest
  Victim located in brush fire in Bowie (MD); identity released by MPDC 10/1
• October 9 — 1300 block of Half Street, SW (shooting)
  15-year-old Thomas Johnson, of Southeast
• October 9 — 1600 block of Rosedale Street, NE (double shooting)
  24-year-old Devon Miler, of Northeast
• October 9 — 1600 block of Rosedale Street, NE (double shooting)
  27-year-old Lekelefac Fonge, of Lanham, MD
• October 10 — 5200 block of Sheriff Road, NE (10/8 shooting)
  24-year-old Kevin Better, of Southeast
• October 10 — 1200 block of I Street, SE (shooting)
  36-year-old Marcus Williams, of Southeast
• October 11 — 1900 block of 16th Street, SE (shooting)
  30-year-old Jonathan Jones, of Cheltenham, MD
• October 12 — 2200 block of Savannah Terrace, SE (shooting)
  24-year-old Shaquille Simmons, of Northwest
• October 12 — 300 block of 1st Street, SE (10/11 stabbing)
  15-year-old Jaquar McNair, of Southeast
• October 17 — 4200 block of 6th Street, SE (shooting)
  27-year-old Deron Leake, of Southeast
• October 19 — 2400 block of Hartford Street, NE (shooting)
  30-year-old Christopher Parks, of Hyattsville, MD.
• October 22 — 4400 block of Ponds Street, NE (shooting)
  23-year-old Juwaun Robert Smith of Northeast, DC
• October 23– 2200 block of Alabama Avenue, SE (shooting)
  19-year-old Alvin Barnes of Southeast, DC
• October 24 — 900 block of 21st Street, NE (shooting)
  32-year-old Alie Labay of New Carrollton, MD.
