District Neighbors Lost to Violence Nov 28 – Dec 4

The District of Columbia lost the following individuals to violence in recent days:

  • November 28 — Unit block of Danbury Street, SW (shooting)
    28-year-old Michael Andre Francis, of Upper Marlboro, MD
  • November 28 — 1700 block of Trenton Place, SE (shooting)
    25-year-old Tyree Pugh, of no fixed address.
  • November 29 — 3000 block of 30th Street, SE (shooting)
    28-year-old Michael Cunningham, of Northeast
  • November 30 — 2800 block of Shipley Terrace, SE (shooting)
    22-year-old DeAngelo Ross, of Southeast

We are still in the 30-day mourning period for the following individuals lost to violence in the District:

  • November 4 — 3100 block of 16th Street, NW (stabbing)
    28-year-old Christopher Shepherd, of No Fixed Address.
  • November 9 — 200 block of L Street, SW (shooting)
    31-year-old Robert Hobson, of Suitland, MD.
  • November 12 — 4300 block of Wheeler Road, SE (shooting)
    21-year-old Majhe Powers, of Oxon Hill, MD.
  • November 17 — 4600 block of Hillside Road, SE (shooting)
    17-year-old Shaquan Buggie, of King George, VA
  • November 19 — 2400 block of Pomeroy Road, SE (shooting)
    24-year-old David Rogers, of Southeast
  • November 21 — 2300 block of Ainger Place, SE (shooting)
    33-year-old Brian Tyrell Butler, of Southeast
  • November 22– 3200 block of Dubois Place, SE (shooting)
    40-year-old Clarence Venable, of Southeast
  • November 25 — 2500 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE (shooting)
    22-year-old Dante Hicks, of Northeast
  • November 26 — 4700 block of Benning Road, SE (11/22 shooting)
    17-year-old Eric Mercer, of Northwest
